Allo USBridge requires daily unplug re-plug to be seen in Roon

Allo USBridge running version 2026.04.1 feeding a Mytek Brooklyn DAC requires daily reboot (Unplug and re-plug) for the Brooklyn to be seen in Roon and work.

Kernel Version: 6.12.81-SPCKFSH-usbridge

Questions:

  • Currently the “Reboot Schedule” is set to “Daily”. If I reset it to “Never”, might this solve my issue of having to unplug and re-plug daily?

  • Would re-flashing the SD card possibly solve my issue or could it be the Allo is just old and worn out? (Is there a special USBridge Signature firmware?)

  • Considering the Allo USBridge is no longer supported should I simply switch to a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5? (My other two endpoints, both RPI 4’s and are trouble free.)

  • Could my “Shanti” be used to power a Raspberry Pi?

  • On the “Services TAB”, does changing the “Max Sample Rate” (48,96,192) make any difference given my configuration? It doesn’t seem to.

Thanks a bunch!

Are you running wired or wireless?

No, you’re already running the latest version. Sending me feedback would be helpful though. you could trying to switch to the beta release, which might make a difference.

Well, to be clear: I do support the Usbridge, hence the specific RoPieee version for this device. a Pi 4 is more than capable of enough.

For which service? Anyhow, it has nothing to do with the unit to be visible in your network.

If my feedback reveals anything please let me know. If not I’ll upgrade to the Beta version. If that doesn’t work I’ll order another RPi 4.

Thanks Harry!

This log doesn’t tell me a lot. It’s a rather short log (you rebooted the device?), so there’s nothing what suggests an interruption.

It would be great to get a feedback log when your unit isn’t visible in Roon anymore.

Well, as so often happens with intermittent problems they never appear when you want them.

For the last ten days the Brooklyn DAC has remained online and connected to Roon.

Finally today, The Allo Sig can be seen in my TP-Link Mesh WiFi App but is not being seen by Roon.

Pinging the IP address results in “unable to connect”,thus I cannot send feedback.

Even though the amber light is flashing normally I’m almost certain rebooting the Sig will bring it back on line.
I thinks my Allo Sig is just old, and it’s time for a Pi-4.
