Amanero 384 combo & roon/microrendu

Amanero 384 combo USB & roon/microrendu
Roon is saying it cannot recognise the device and my LKS 004 DAC remains unlocked!
Can this be fixed please?
I know the device(s) are working as moments ago it was working with squeezelite & LMS, but now I switched to Roon and the DAC won’t unlock and is not recognised!

Suggest you restart the DAC and core maybe too…and maybe fill in the blanks based on this

Also have you enabled roon mode in the uRendu?

rebooting everything makes no difference what so ever!
Rendu has roon ‘active’. I don’t think there is a problem with the rendu though. The problem is with the amanero USB card in the LKS 004 DAC, & more specifically; the driver/firmware!

Currently at day 14 and it doesn’t even work! Compare that to the free alternatives that DO work!

Are you able to successfully play to other endpoints using Roon?

I am using a HP Pavilion G6 laptop (2382sa D0Y14EA#ABU) with MS windows 10 pro, 64 bit O/S as the controller via a google chrome web browser page. W/8GB of RAM. WLAN 5GHz,
The end point is the sonore microrendu 1.4 with sonicorbiter 2.7 O/S.
The music is stored on an SSD in a synology ds218+ NAS. W/6GB of RAM. W/Kingston A400 240GB SSD (2x). I only transferred one album to test in MP3 format.
These are communicating via a ZYXEL VMG3925 B10B router with cat 7 cables.
The rendu connects to the LKS 004 DAC via USB cable to the amanero USB card situated in the DAC. Amanero firmware is CPLD_for_1080 MCLK Pin6 output 22.5792 Mhz / 24.576 Mhz - Prescaler - Firmware 1.096c3w2
All are powered with SMPS except the DAC which has its own toridial transformers.
ROON 1.6 (build 390) stable (64bit).
When everything is booted up the DAC USB status is continuously UN-LOCKED.

Settings->Roon Ready. The Audio Device here should be USB output

Hello @the_tester,

We apologize for the delay, we have been testing the microRendu with numerous Amanero based USB DACs and have not been able to reproduce the behavior you are seeing.

Can you check the settings that @ogs mentioned in the previous post? That would be my first step in troubleshooting this issue. If that doesn’t fix things, can you use the Audio App Switcher to change the active app to “Shairport” and see if you are able to get sound out of the device using Airplay streaming?

Under Apps->Available Apps, select ‘Shairport’ to install it.
Go ahead and delete the “Special DAC” you have created.
Make sure ‘Shairport’ is active in ‘Audio App Switcher’
Restart DAC
Reboot microRendu

Does the microRendu now show as a Airplay device in Roon? Can you get any sound?

Re-select RoonReady in ‘Audio App Switcher’
Restart DAC
Reboot microRendu

Under ‘Apps’ there is a Roon Ready icon. When you click this you can select to view ‘Roon Ready Diagnostic’ This will (hopefully) show a lot of output. All the way at the bottom you should see the output of ‘aplay -l’ Your Amanero should be listed here…

after first restart the DAC LED display changes to 44.1KHz, but within a minute the display goes back to UNLOCKED? I presume this is the point were rendu is fully booted?
BTW: The NAS has been on roon server all the time!
