You have to adjust the dpi of the tablet to make it work. I downloaded the apk and also added the Google play store. Once it is on there it will update. Bit if a fiddle but it runs really nicely.
Just saw the above where it should run, so maybe you can do it. Mines working so, if it ain’t broke I am not going to fix it.
I can’t see a downloaded app on the Fire Tablet to launch although the store says “installed”. I feel that I may be missing the obvious…
OK, I’ll post this again:
I had tried that Bill, but I have just realised the filename appears to be case sensitive. If you lowercase the filename you get a 404 error.

That works fine and the Fire 8" is impressive as a remote for Roon.

Fire HD 8 has been my primary Roon remote for over a year.
Works great.
I’ve recently switched from the 8-inch to the 10-inch Fire tablet as my primary remote. It works well and provides more screen real estate for Roon. When I bought the eight inchers Amazon didn’t sell the Fire 10 in Canada. Now that they do, I’m happier.
