Need help to get Android clients to function.

Hi Zafar,

Can you list the android devices and their OS versions that are having the connection issues.

Hi @ZS_ROCKS,

In addition to the Android model and OS version, could you please also provide the model/manufacturer of your router? Some routers need special settings applied as mentioned in our Networking Best Practices Guide. You may want to try to see if IGMP Proxying/Snooping helps with Android connection issues.

Thank for your reply.
Android 10 on Pixel 4XL and Pixel 2XL.
Fortinet FG60D firewall router + FAP22B access point

Hi @ZS_ROCKS,

Thanks for the network setup info. I would try looking for an IGMP setting on your router and/or access point and see if toggling those triggers a change in behavior.

You could also try pressing on the “Help” button and seeing if you are able to connect by using the IP address of the Core or the multicast broadcast address of 255.255.255.255.

Thank you Noris.
Could not connect using Core IP address, but with 255.255.255.255 connected immediately.
