Description Of Issue
Updated to latest Window 10 Core version last night. Since then, Android Roon Control App (Samsung S9 and Samsung Tab S) can’t connect to Core. Message says Roon Android app needs updating, but no update is available. It’s almost as if the latest Windows version is incompatible with current Android control app, and Roon Labs released one before updating the other. Note, I can control the Roon Core from other Windows 10 PC with latest Roon software.
No. I also tried deleting Roon control app from my phone and reinstalling. Same result - can’t connect to core. The only thing I can do is “Configure Roon OS devices on your network”, but that just spins looking for devices and never finds any.
A quick Google search tells me I need Android v4.3 to support OpenGL ES 3.0. I’m running v9.0.
Could it be that the Google Play store hasn’t made Roon v1.7 available yet, and it will come soon?
I just tried re-installing Roon app on my S9, looks like it’s version 1.7 now. Should be good now. I’ll give it a try when I get home tonight. Thanks for your help.
