When I started Roon today, I saw a notification saying that there’s a software update. I clicked on update and then Norton sent me the following warning about the RoonAppliance.exe file!!

I quarantined the file for now.

I got the same message for RAATserver.exe - see screenshot

The IDP.Generic flag is a generic heuristic used by Norton and other antivirus software to identify potentially suspicious behavior, but it does not necessarily mean the file is malicious. Hi @BlackJack thanks for letting me know.

Norton doesn’t allow me to restore the two files from quarantine.

I guess that I need to uninstall and reinstall Roon.

How do I restore my server, as I remember I had issue with this (reinstalling Roon) when I installed it on a new computer.

Just install it again, this will not touch or delete your Roon database. But you have to deal with Norton first or it will simply quarantine part of the new installation again.
