Curious whether it’s faster than the Fire HD 10 or Fire 11 Max? And also compared to the recent iPads? I’m trying to battle the laggy UI, where I often get 10+ seconds to load the queue or update now playing between tracks.
Irrespective of mobile device used, you should not experience this behaviour. Therefore, I suggest you open a support request by visiting the Support page, and clicking on Get help.
Incidentially, Roon remote works and performs well on the Pixel 7, so the experience should be good on a Pixel tablet.
I’m still using a 2015 vintage Pixel C tablet as a Roon remote.
I have no issues using Roon Remote despite it creaking when using the common web browsers over the last 6 months or so.
I don’t think that you need a particularly powerful device to run Roon Remote. ARC is probably a different story but ARC is not available for the Pixel C.
I’m using an old Lenovo tablet as a Roon remote. To be fair, I’ve stripped pretty much everything else out of it. The UI responds very snappily to any input. I’d wager something else is hogging resources on your current device…
Hi Fred I have a Pixel Tablet and I have no issues with it as a Roon remote at all.
It has replaced my second gen iPad Pro and it works really nicely in both landscape and portrait.
I have been using it for the last couple of months and I have been very happy with Roon on it.
