Apple Music High Res

Please read the same link you sent along with RME’s lead engineer’s comment. Then read the section of the manual that I posted.

It requires you to connect some dots to understand that talking about the 32bit test is a waste of time, when it is known to be unreliable with software not capable, especially on macOS like is relevant here (and iOS). Read the manual section I copied and pasted. You cannot just read your section of the manual and ignore the part I included. That is plain silly. Both need to be read together. And you need to connect the dots.

32 bit test is reliable with capable software - as I have tested separately with HQPlayer (DSP off). Not a relevant test with 24/192 Airplay test…

Let’s stop this discussion please.

My test works with both 24/192 test file with ADI-2 and DirectStream DAC also.

What a headache.

Yep, save your time with this. There is no change in regards to Airplay and Music. Apple Music and Airplay - current status … - Apple Community

Google planning something….

Cool. I’m a content Android phone user, but, I’m also certain they’ll shutter whatever they decide to launch within eighteen months.

Google invests tens of millions into countless projects they drop almost immediately when they aren’t an automatic, transformative smash hit.

Looks like much of this might involve defending against future patent lawsuits from Sonos.

So depressing, totally agree that Google has a terrible track record too.

I’m glad Sonos finally decided to sue somebody. These giant tech behemoths get the curtains pulled under the guise of “extending the product” and steal IP shamelessly and with no intention of playing fair. What Sonos developed was unique and non-trivial, especially in 2005. It’s good that Google got a bloody nose for trying to steal it.

I’ve been listening to Apple Music all afternoon since I walked Lucy earlier. I’m using my iPhone 11 Pro Max, AudioQuest Dragonfly Cobalt, and Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones with Moon Audio Silver Dragon cable. After 8 hours of listening, it isn’t tiring at all and really sounds good. I just wish my Dell could stream high resolution lossless from Apple Music. It’s a much better UI than an iPhone.

Thank you for this 8 hour test! Will check again too soon with Cobalt again! Did you have power supply at CCK?

Yes, to keep the iPhone charged. It’s not needed otherwise to power the Cobalt.

At Archimago read at the comment section from the review, better for noise level not to have an ethernet cable attached to the device. Important to have an eye on the comment section imo! So for our mobile usage, we are all fine  Cobalt is a great device!

Apple Music AI can differentiate meanwhile between artists, that have the same name :hugs::hugs::hugs: And AI has a great taste imo :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Edit: well that equalizer while streaming…i believe there are chaanges too on iOS, to the better imo :hugs: however still have the impression, that some presets just do nothing at all? e.g.jazz or classic?? maybe, i am wrong…using Apple Music lossless with Airplay 1 streaming via Shairport right now…

Universal Control (out today) is pretty cool at my desk. With my iPad to the left of my big screen.

I can use my Mac’s mouse and keyboard to control my iPad (Apple Music). It does work magically for me.

Maximises my laziness.

Does anyone try or use Apple-Music-Electron or Cider so far on Windows/[Linux?

https://cider.sh or Apple-Music-Electron 3.0 now has support for lossless on Windows/Linux! | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Especially does it lossless now?? Thougt it is using AM webplayer only….

((We could feed a little Pi 4 from iDevice output with Apple Music in Hires and Atmos too. Pi switches sample rate imput automatically according to AM output…Now everything is possible… However still experimental stage… Once you are on the Pi…))

This is a very useful smart playlist, caught an album that has been removed. The Chronic is no longer available in the UK for whatever reason.

This one shows albums I have pre-saved / haven’t been released yet.

Snoop Dogg bought Death Row Records, has seemingly removed much of the catalog from streaming, and is claiming he will turn the label into an NFT company… 2PAC is still on because the label no longer owned his albums.

Wow, that is bizarre.

Thanks for the link.

So a money for no rope at all company…
