NUC connected via Ethernet, iPhones running RoonARC connected via WiFi
Description of Issue
RoonARC is running. Running the test on Roon Core successful.
iPhone 1 running Roon ARC successfully.
iPhone 2/3 getting an error message “Bad connection”. Can’t play via RoonARC although in the same WiFi network. iPhone 2 the same model as iPhone 1.
All clients and the core on the latest software vresions.
This seems to be a very strange behaviour. Any ideas what the problem could be?
I don’t speak about connections problems which occur regularly when connecting from outside the WiFi via mobile or external Networks. It is very unreliable, too.
When there is “poor connection” on wifi, it nearly always helps to reset the ARC app from its Home > Settings screen. Sometimes it doesn’t and then uninstall/reinstall usually fixes that.
You will lose your downloads in ARC in either case, though
The team is actively investigating this problem and will post updates in the linked thread. While it’s a laborious workaround, you can relieve symptoms by reinstalling ARC as mentioned above.
