I appear to have a sync issue between ARC and Roon, resulting in numerous copies of a specific playlist "Not on Qobuz". Deleting it on Roon seems to lead to it reappearing when I open ARC and it now seems to keep duplicating, presumably every time I open ARC. It appears only once in ARC. Problem started a few weeks ago and I only just realised it's ongoing as it appears to reset/clear on each restart.
Thank you for the report. We can see ARC syncing tracks that still associate with the playlist “Not on Qobuz” in the most recent logs. I’m curious (though it’s not worth taking the time to check) if there are precisely 144 instances of this playlist, one for each track that was previously contained within.
Are any of the tracks that were formerly contained in this playlist downloaded to the phone? If so, were they downloaded to the phone when you deleted the playlist in RoonServer?
It’s a heavy-handed workaround, but have you tried reinstalling ARC? This might not be a step you want to take if you have downloaded significant content to the phone.
I’m not sure whether that was the eventual result, but they appeared to accumulate over time. My hunch is that I gained one every time I opened ARC.
Certainly not when the problem started, but I may have purchased and downloaded in the interim - I’m not totally sure of the chronology here.
I gave in and tried that this morning, in part because of this bug:
So far, all seems ok - if I was a betting person I’d guess that ARC corruption of some sort might be responsible for both issues. Will post back if it recurrs - thanks for looking into this.
Cached data on the phone is certainly a factor. We haven’t rooted out the cause. Please keep us posted if this behavior returns on the new ARC install, or if you have any other curious symptoms around duplication, missing artwork, or slow loading times. We’ll be adding selective verbose logging to zoom in further.
Thanks for the update @connor - I appreciate the time being taken to join the various dots together.
One further thought I had was whether profiles might be a factor here - I know I periodically switch profiles on ARC to try to avoid the kids’ stuff being registered against my play history.
