Tell us about your home network

· I am using a Mikrotik RB4011 router/firewall. Everything worked fine until the server was moved.

Hi, I need help clearing my ARC cloud registration. I have: – moved from Windows to Linux – removed the old Core – restored a fresh backup – verified that Roon is listening on port 58000 – restarted router and toggled ARC – logged out/in on all devices ARC still refuses to connect even though everything is correct locally. This looks like an ARC cloud registration lockout. Please clear the ARC registration for my account.

Hi @roar,

Unfortunately, you’re encountering an inconvenient reality within Roon and ARC. The ARC database installed on the phone is synced to the previous, non-existent server ID on your Windows machine Roon Server and must be disconnected to sync with the new Linux-hosted server/database version. Try disconnecting from your server in ARC and reconnecting to the new one. Reinstalling the app will resolve this entirely. The downside is that you’ll need to redownload any locally-saved items on the phone in either case.

We recognize that it’s extraordinarily inconvenient for some users to redownload everything after restoring a Backup or switching to a new RoonServer machine. The team does have work in the pipeline to make server migration more seamless for ARC

Hi. Thanks for the tip. I unistalled ARC on my Android Phone. After installing again I had to choose from 3 Roon servers that looked the same. I picked one randomly. I tried ARC over 4G/5G and it played music from Roon, but Roon itself still says the Roon Arc will not work. I suppose Roon server still see other server sessions in the cloud. Best regards Roar Tveit

Hello @roar

That is great news! If ARC is playing music over 5G/LTE, your MikroTik configuration is working perfectly.

The reason you were still seeing an error message in Roon was due to the global Cloudflare infrastructure issue we’ve been dealing with over the last few days. It prevented the “Ready” status from updating correctly, even when the connection was actually fine.

Since the Cloudflare outage is now resolved, the error message should disappear shortly. As long as your music is playing, everything is set up correctly.

I will go ahead and close this thread now. Enjoy the music!
