Hi
Arc is telling me i need to update my server but when i look it says i have the current version of roon server i have restarted my mac mini and reinstalled arc but still no joy
This typically happens if you mixed release channels on different devices, e.g., if you are using a production version of Roon Server but a beta version of ARC. Please post precisely which version numbers you are using on your various devices.
More information needed:
Havent changed anything and it was working fine yesterday
So you’re running Roon Server build 1368 - but what version of Roon ARC are you using? Is it the Early Access version (build 237)? - That would give you this error message I think.
No I’m not an early access user i installed a new version of arc just before starting this post just to be sure i was using the current version
Its very stange because it was working the day before and i had made no changes at all to roon or arc i think there is another post here with someone who has a similar problem
We would still be interested in the actual version numbers just to be sure
I’m not sure how to find the version of arc without logging in
I suppose you are using Android, where it should go like this:
Ok thanks I’ll do that and let you know
It says version1.0.47
Thanks. Unfortunately, the Roon version numbers are confusing and displayed differently in different places, but 1.0.47 is what I see on my Samsung tablet where I have the Beta version of ARC, i.e., Roon’s test release („Early Access“).
The regular production version should be 1.0.46 as far as I can tell. (Checked in the Apple store)
If you go to the Google Play Store and go to Roon ARC, does it say „Roon ARC (Beta)“?
No first thing i checked after what geoff posted above because i used to but stopped many months ago
I just don’t understand how it can work one day and not the next without any changes made
It didnt worry me yesterday because i just thought roon needed updating but when i got home and checked it said i have the current version
There was an Early Release update, which probably made EA versions and production versions incompatible because there were big changes in EA.
I don’t know why you have 1.0.47 if you are not enrolled in the Android beta, though. I have to give up and leave it to official @support, sorry
No problem thank you very much for your time it’s much appreciated
