· The ARC settings page says "Not Ready," but I can still connect to ARC via cellular data. I'm having another problem.
Describe the issue
After update, ARC stopped connecting. I have port forwarding set up and UPnP on in router settings. Arc worked successfully for years, but no longer does with no other changes to set up or equipment other than downloading most recent Roon updates.
Describe your network setup
Bell Canada Giga modem Roon server can connect over wi-fi or ethernet Mac OSX
I seem to have the same issue. I have spent 3 hours messing around with forwarding +/-upnp and changing ports, dmz on/off/ firewalls and even download Tailscale to my PC and Phone. Multiple restarts of all devices in the chain and still no connection. My router can see Roon and tailscale.
All other apps and streaming/ file sharing and things like remote PC are all working as expected and so I can only think that the Roon update is my working diagnosis at this time.
Don’t. It’s a cloud issue, there is nothing you can do, and ARC works anyway.
There have been countless other posts and threads about this since yesterday, but unfortunately the service announcement banner on top of the forum went up just a few minutes ago.
In particular, don’t (ever) put your Roon Server into the DMZ. Is a huge security hole to do this, and it’s unnecessary and won’t help either.
The behavior you are describing (Error 526 / “Not Ready” status) is a known issue we are currently tracking. In most cases, this is a display glitch, and ARC functionality often remains intact for playback.
