I ripped a series of vinyl Christmas albums from Goodyear. Several have tracks sung by Julie Andrews (the one you’ve heard of) but Roon is linking to bassoonist Julie Andrews (credited on Vanessa Williams’ Everlasting Love album).
Each album is “unidentified” by Roon. Is there any way to direct the Julie Andrews link to the correct artist?
Do you have an identified album in your library that has the correct Julie Andrews credit? If not, then Roon is more likely to pick the incorrect one, in particular you have the other one in your library.
Though it can also happen if you have both Julies in your library, in particular of your new album is unidentified.
In any case, you can edit the credits in Roon. Go to the (…) menu in the album view and choose Edit.
HOWEVER: During editing, Roon will only find the correct Julie if she is credited on another album that you already have in your library. So make sure of that before you edit
I do have several albums with the correct Julie Andrews credit. The wrong credit was also in the library, but only because of her credit as bassoonist on the Vanessa Williams album.
Edit in the Album View does not appear to allow me to edit the track artist…
Album artists and track artists are different. To edit a track artist for a single track, go to the three-dot menu on the right of the track > Edit.
You can also select all tracks together (or a subset of tracks) and then make the edit for all of them at once. However, in this case do NOT click the three-dot menu on the right of one of the selected tracks (as this would edit only the track the menu belongs to). Instead, select the tracks and then go to the edit menu at the top of the page again
Aha! Thank you, I was in the right place but was looking for Track Artis, not for “credits” Removed the one Julie Andrews and replaced it with the right one.
