I wanted to touch base with some good news, which is that our technical team has been able to reproduce this behavior and we’ve opened up a bug report with our developers.
While I can’t say for certain when this bug will be fixed, getting things reproduced in-house is a critical first step, and I will keep this thread up to date as the team passes along feedback and work begins to get this resolved.

Any news on this? It has been 3 months since this started and a month since there was an update on this. Are the older (pre-late 2013) Macs just getting phased out from Roon or is there actually going to be a fix for this?

This issue does not occur just on the older Macs, we have been able to reproduce on other PCs as well, including on Windows.
The ticket is still with the dev team and is scheduled to be worked on, so thank you for your patience here while this takes place!
