I have a A&K Kann, which is, I think, not Roon ready. I can play hi res music using mconnect, but is there a way to use Roon in any way?
Officially only if it has a DAC mode and used as a DAC to a Roon Bridge or streamer that is Roon Ready.
Unofficially if it shows up on the network as a DNLA/UPnP renderer then you might be able to use a UPnP bridge but there are no guarantees it will work they tend to be flaky on daps. Several variants available to try if you search the forum but many require a raspberry pi to run them. LMS2UPnP is a free bit of code originally built as a plugin to enable UPnP devices to be use in Logitech Media Centre and bridges them as a Squeezebox, this is what most of these other bridges are based on. The original code can be run on any computer but does require some knowledge to get it working.
