Thank you for the kind, patient assist. My core, an ASUS laptop with Windows 10 (8gb RAM and 237gb storage), has worked flawlessly with my iPhone 14 remote until yesterday when I got the following message when I click on the Roon app from the core: Waiting for your Roon Server. I’ve tried clicking on Start Roon Server, but that path takes me back to the Waiting for your Roon Server message.
I’ve looked at messages from community members who have bumped into this problem, and I’ve browsed the knowledge database. From there, I’ve tried rebooting my router (AT&T BGW210-700) and the core (the ASUS laptop) with the Norton 360 firewall off (with Public and Private selected for RAATServer.exe, Roon.exe, and Roon appliance.exe in Windows Security and with RAATServer, Roon, and RoonAppliance allowed under Program Control in Norton 360), and I still get the Waiting for your Roon Server Message.
Should I try a reinstall? Should I delete Roon from the ASUS laptop core and reinstall it for Windows from the Roon website?
Is there something else I might try? I’m not sure what changed from Tuesday night, when Roon was working like a charm as it had been for several years, into Wednesday morning when I began getting the Waiting for Your Roon Server message.
Thank you for your kind, patient assist with this request for support. Thank you for creating and supporting Roon, which I thoroughly enjoy. Kudos to the team.

Welcome to the community! We’re excited to have you here, but apologize that it’s an issue that prompted your recent post. To confirm, when you open Roon Server in your windows taskbar, you’re unable to open and run it?
Let’s see if refreshing your Roon Server database may help:
I’ve also clicked through AppData > Local and selected Roon and RoonServer and searched for backups through Database, but I’m not seeing them. Could I make a copy of Roon, under AppData > Local, and rename it Roon_old?
I think that I’m slowly catching on. I’ve made a copy of RoonServer and will change the name to RoonServer_old and follow the rest of your instructions. I’ll keep you posted. Thank you again.
I selected Use Another Roon Server, but it’s been Looking for your Roon Server for more than five minutes. Should I select Set up a Roon Server for this PC, instead?
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to move past the message Looking for your Roon Server, even though I’ve selected a different Roon server. Should I try uninstalling Roon? Your thoughts, please? Thank you.
