It’s still happening… i don’t mind figuring out what’s causing this but without any response from roon this is kind of difficult (nicely stated)

I understand your frustration as this issue has lingered for some time at this point. The ticket is still with our development team, but progress is slow. I wish I had more information to share, but unfortunately, there haven’t been any updates shared with our team yet.
Until they are able to spend more time on this issue, I recommend pausing Roon Server when making any edits to prevent crashing.
Can we move this on, its been in the queue for ages. I suffer exaclty same issue as OP. I also know it affects othes as well.

Also discovered something from tailing the log of roonserver. When I change a folder name in my music storage roon discovers this. It starts analysing these ‘new’ files and concludes:

I still have the audioanalyse stuck feature when I simply change a folder name on the storage watched/used by roon

I wanted to check in with you here since I was tidying up open threads, are you still able to reproduce this behavior on the current Roon release, or has the issue subsided? Looking over the case notes, we tried to reproduce in the QA lab but could not, so please confirm, thanks!
Yes, easily. Just copy a folder to storage watched by roon. NAS or local doesn’t matter. Rename the folder after the copy has finished and audio-analyse stays spinning with a couple of files left for days. I’m also not the only one experiencing this. Stopping/starting roon solves it or just turning audioanalyse off/on.
