Description of Issue

I’m posting this again since previous insights have not worked and it seems to be affecting playback because roon seems unable to analyse anything while it is stuck on these two tracks, details below.

To be clear, rebooting (computer and router) and reinstalling (roon) does not work. Turning analysis on and off again works temporarily but the problem comes back. There is a possibility it is corrupt tracks of course but if that is the case I need to be able to identify them. Any ideas on how to identify the tracks and fix gratefully recieved.

Roon is stuck, constantly syncing 2 tracks and never finishes. I am not clear if this is then affecting other playback and processing issues (random stops and skips mostly). This is similar to other issues that are now closed on the support page and I have looked at the threads but can’t see what the solution is (how to identify the tracks is the obcviuos question). I have rebooted roon, the computer and the router but no change. I have also re-installed roon but it made no difference (the one thig I haven’t done is started a new library but that would entail starting roon from new again so I;m hoping this can be resolved

Here’s a screen shot of the analyis. Leaving roon on and running with nothing else going on for several days doesn’t make any difference.

any ideas on how to fix gratefully received!

Dom.

@domocon
A few things to try although no promises any of them will fix it.

  1. Turn off 'background audio analysis, then turn it back on but at the slowest speed eg throttled.
    Assuming that didn’t fix it
  2. Disable the storage location then re-enable it, if you have multiple storage locations do it one at a time.
    Assuming that didn’t fix it
  3. Do you have the spinning circle on the top right of the main screen? if so does clicking on it give you any information on the track or album Roon is analysing?

If all that fails you may just have to wait for Roon support to analyse your system, they should be able to identify the issue.

Hey ratbert,

Given this a go and working so far, thanks.

Deffo one for support to look at though please. It does seem odd that there’s so many features that don’t work. Not sure how long I’m going to persevere with this.

Thanks

Dom
