Audio device not found at local computer

Well, I can’t use the current computer client audio device for reproducing music. I can find a lot of audio devices, but not the current machine where Roon Client is running.

My setup:

Core machine: Ubuntu 22.10 64bit, Intel i5-2520M (4) @ 3.200GHz (Lenovo X220), Roon version 2.0 (build 1182)

Remote machine: MacOS Ventura, iMac M1 2021, Roon version 2.0 (build 1182)

Networking details: The Core machine is located at my LAN at home, discoverable by a Tailscale tunnel. Is interesting to note that ARC works great on my phone.

Library details: The music is stored in a hdd attached directly to the machine where the Roon core is.

The machine where you can’t see the device is at one end of the VPN and the corest the other?
Have you opened up the firewall on the non core device?
BTW if you are using tailscale then this will end up in tinkering as roon doesn’t provide support for anything that uses a VPN.
