Audio devices keep disappearing for a few seconds - roon 2.0 (build 1169) Windows-App

Hello,

My setup:

• Core on SSD, Synology NAS, DS720+
• 6000 title
• roon 2.0 (build 1169)
• Win10 64, i7-7700K CPU, 48GB
• Network connection via cable, FritzBox 7590
• Audio devices
  • PC speakers from motherboard sound chip
  • Headphones to Meridian Explorer 2 via USB

Since the last update 2.0 (build 1169) I can no longer listen to music on Windows. The audio sources are available briefly and then disappear for a few seconds and then reappear. With the same configuration, everything always worked before the update.

What can be the reason?

• I noticed that the RAAT server also disappears in the Windows settings and then reappears (picture 1 and 2)
• Playback works perfectly on Android and iOS

Ok, I have the solution :

I usually run Bitdefender VPN on Windows.
So far I always had roon in “Split Tunneling”, otherwise it didn’t work.
Now it must be removed from the “Split Tunneling”!
roon is now obviously getting along with the VPN as well.

No idea why there are problems from above in “split tunneling”?

Anyway, it’s working again
