I recently had to re-install windows due to hardware /
software crash without beiing able to make a recent back up
Your backups have been failing for a while - I think I have
one from last november,

It took me a while to reinstall the software for my
soundcard and I finally got music to work through my browser
/ you tube / facebook etc.

iTunes also will play music.

Roon unfortunately will not play. I can’t seem to figure
out how to set it up to play.

Right now I am using my desktop windows 7 computer as my
core and as my music player out through RCA cables to a

Peachtree Nova 65e amplifier with speakers.

It is capable of taking a digital signal from the sound card too, I had that going for a while, until my cat broke the cable.

I use the Nova 65e for my television sound also.

I’ve been using this set up since I started Roon & went tp

lifetime (Never did get a discount for the two years I paid

for)

Any help you could give me to get the sound up and running again would be greatly appreciated.

I have been looking at the Nucleus &/or other Roon Ready systems. Small Green Computer etc. My problem is I have so many folders on multiple drives. Any advice trhere would also be appreciated.

But before we get something new, I need to get this up and running again,

Hi @Jack_Parks,

In what way is Roon failing to play? Are you receiving any errors?

Does this behavior occur for all endpoints? If you connect with a remote device and play to System Output of that device do things work properly for you?

roon acts like it is working, but no sound comes out

When I re-installed windows I also had to re-install the software for my sound card. Before I re-installed my sound card none of my audio worked. After I reinstalled my sound card everything worked except roon?

I only have one endpoint.

problem solved & I don’t know why
I disabled every audio output & also did something in windows & enabled one zone & it works
