Audio source keeps disconnecting

Nucleus Plus, 1.8

Hello, my iMacPro disappears as audio source every few hours. Rebooting the Nucleus Plus temporarily fixes this, but a few hours later it disappears again.

I’ve tried:

-Rebooting Mac (no use)
-Rebooting network (no use)

Only rebooting Nucleus Plus works, but I would like a more permanent solution.

Can you help me?

I have the same experience, also on an iMac, I tried rebooting Roonserver after reading your post, and that seems to fix it for now.

Same experience this morning on my 2013 MacBook Pro running Catalina version 10.15.7. I have two external DACs set up as audio zones connected to this computer, an IFI DSD nano BL and an Apogee Duet 2. The IFI didn’t show up as available, so I switched to the Duet. The playback was fine, but the player controls at the bottom of Roon’s screen were frozen (album art not refreshing, time bar not tracking, controls not showing), so I restarted Roon on the MacBook.

After that, both audio zones went missing even though the Mac control panel could access both DACs. They only came back after doing a hard reset on my Intel NUC running Roon ROCK.

I have the same problem with a USB DAC:
