The Tweeter Speaker model has a crossover regulator in the back… I feel the highs from A500 could be better, Just want to hear what happens if I add a Tweeter speaker.
Not sure how you can mate a passive tweeter with an active speaker. Perhaps with each as a synch-ed zone but you’d still need an amp for the tweeter. Not a great arrangement, imho.
I Agree too… Then I thought, I feed the A500 from the XLR out of the Denafrips Terminator Plus DAC(T+), the T+ DAC has a RCA out too, may be I can feed the RCA out of the T+ directly to the Tweeter Speakers … and control the crossover using the regulator provided behind the tweeter speakers…
A line out be it XLR or RCA is not suited to drive a speaker. Don‘t do it. Your equipment is pretty good and I would experiment with Roon DSP options like equalizers or room correction. What you suggest is a butcher job with predictable outcome.
I once heard a sound system few years ago in one of the music shop, the signature of the sound is still in my mind like a splinter of glass. If I can recollect correct, the bass of the current system is right there, just the highs missing… The T+ has two outputs, XLR & RCA both work simultaneously… I’m at Go — No-Go space…
That is not a ‘super tweeter’ like those available from Townshend and the like. These are cheap speakers intended for car use, like the ones you probably have installed in the A-pillar of your car.
Something like this, at $15, is not going to enhance your audio experience and as has been stated could damage you DAC.
Actually aside from my other post I suspect you are not going to like the delays the A500 introduce with their built in DSP working as the super tweeter will be ahead of the sound from the A500 perhaps by quite some amount.
Cancel the order would be my advice or plan to use them on a conventional speaker setup - maybe at a friends place?
Strange. I got an ad for a pair of interconnect cables with a link to some generic bullet tweeters.
So, let me say that the idea of attaching any external unpowered (super)tweeters to a powered main speaker is unlikely to be easy or effective. That applies to any and all of them.
Currently i’m using the nearfield as I’m in a temp living situation till I move out to my place next weekend. I will then try out the +2 master tuning…
This guy has made several videos on the A700. I know there not your speakers model but this one I posted is with a tube preamp via XLR straight into the speakers.
