Have a Roon Nucleus One running the most recent software and an Aurender A1000 which is a certified Roon endpoint. This is also on the most recent software. The A1000 now (has not always been the case) shows as not being certified and so I am unable to play music through it, just get a pop up saying I cannot enable. Not sure what to try next, have attempted multiple restarts and reinstalled the software on the Nucleus. Aurender have told me the certification is handled at the Roon end so there is nothing further they can do past making sure all is ok on a remote login - which hs been done.
Describe your network setup
TP Link Router TD-W9970 Network Acoustics Tempus Switch - have tried with or without the switch.
Thanks for reaching out. I am seeing the Aurender A1000 as a certified endpoint in our system. Can you please confirm, do you have the latest firmware installed (or did you install updated firmware and then it stopped working properly)? You can try to perform a device database refresh to see if this helps:
Thanks for the reply, yes I do have the latest firmware installed. Definitely stopped functioning properly before the firmware update as I recall thinking perhaps a firmware update will fix this.
I have tried the steps above but no change I am afraid.
I know this might sound like a simple step, but have you tried rebooting your Nucleus, Aurender, and your router? We’ve seen similar issues resolved in the past just by refreshing all three parts of the chain. Let us know if that helps.
We still don’t see a Roon Ready A1000 in automated diagnostics that reach our servers alongside your report, so we need to request the following to escalate this thread:
Please share a screenshot of the Roon Settings → Audio page indicating the uncertified A1000 endpoint
Is this A1000 visible as an Airplay endpoint in Roon?
How precisely have you connected the Aurender in its setup? Please share the basic topology of this digital chain.
Hello Connor,
Apologies I have not been back in contact - have not been on the road most of the week. Will get to this tomorrow and revert.
Thanks
Mike
Is this endpoint now listed as a Roon Ready Zone? This thread will auto-close without a response shortly, but we want to ensure you didn’t require further troubleshooting here. Thanks!
“software (both Android and Windows) stubbornly refuses to.”
Do you mean that the device appears in the Roon Ready section under Settings > Audio, but you’re unable to select it as an output in the Roon client app — or are you unable to add it as a sound device at all?
Please provide a few screenshots of the current situation, especially from Settings > Audio and audio outputs in the main screen, so we can better understand what’s happening.
Yes under settings-audio it appears in the Roon Ready section but with a note saying uncertified with a little warning triangle.
On selection of Enable a message tells me the manufacturer has not completed certification and so I cannot select.
Thanks for the screenshot. Just to confirm, the model on the unit itself shows as A1000, is this correct? I noticed in your previous log that an Aurender N20 SPDIF was showing up as a A1000 via USB. I tried to enable diagnostics for your Nucleus One but I don’t see it as currently online, when you have a chance, please turn on the unit and let us know so that we can check logs there as well.
Yes it is an A1000 we also have an N20.
Thank you for your ongoing support in this.
I will be back in on Monday afternoon GMT and will power all back on.
Let us know when everything is back online and we’ll take another look!
If you haven’t yet, it may be good to refresh your RAATServer database. You can generate a new RAATServer instance on your device by following these instructions, but please be aware that this will reset your Roon Settings -> Audio Tab to factory settings and I would advise making a backup of any custom DSP settings you have:
