Avast RAAT File Quarantine Issue Causing Roon Server Startup Problem (ref#0DKSG7)

Is Roon Server running?

· No, Roon Server is not running.

Can you turn on RoonServer to connect ?

· I can't turn on Roon Server. I need help.

Describe the issue

I received a message from Avast virus specialist with a RAAT file that was said to be harmful. I placed it in quarantine and deleted it. After that, Roon server will no longer start. Can't connect and delete, that doesn't work anymore either. Get notified (Please quit all instances of roon)

Describe your network setup

I have a Ziggo router type TG2492LG-ZG, which has been working well with WiFi for years

Assuming you downloaded Roon from the official site, this is a false positive. For reassurance, use VirusTotal to check the file.

You need to reinstall Roon because you deleted parts of it.

If you try to reinstall, the it tells you to quit all instances of Roon because the Roon Server runs as a separate process from the graphical interface.

  1. Quit the graphical interface by closing its window.-
  2. Quit the Roon Server by right-clicking the Roon icon in the notification area on the task bar, then click Quit:

Then start the installer again.

In that case, create a rule in Avast to allow this executable.

Avast heeft een uitzondering gemaakt voor dit bestand en ik kan weer inloggen

Bedankt iedereen voor het helpen om weer in te loggen!
