Battery usage of Roon on Huawei P20 Pro

Build 1364
The battery usage has increased to the point of making it untenable as a UI/Controller.

I use the P20 pro without problems. Here’s a couple of things to consider…too many apps running in the background can increase battery load. Battery storage ability decreases with age. I would first check running apps and then make sure battery is fully charged. If you are still experiencing the same problem, I would suggest a new battery.

It’s had a replacement battery in the past. It’s the OS which is detecting that Roon is burning in the background.

if you look in to your o/s (windows), under settings, you will find a heading called "apps’. inside apps, you will find a feature called “startup”. inside startup, you can choose which apps you want to load when you turn on your computer. shutting off “roon” or any number of other apps should help your battery life. The downside is that those apps will take just a little longer to load when you click on them. Please note, I’m not a computer guy but, I find that turning off un wanted background apps helps by taking some of the load off of your o/s. Good luck

This is true and I don’t have Roon starting until I want to use it, but I have to remember to kill it.

Hi @Simon_Lucy,

Sorry for the delay in getting to your issue! I wanted to check in and see if you were still running into the same battery issue on the newest Roon update?

Let me know your status, thanks!

Thanks for checking in. I haven’t used that phone since the last up date, I’ll try it again and see if it still occurs.

I haven’t noticed it happening on the Pixel 6 Pro so far, but it hasn’t been live for that long. I’ll monitor it on both.
