Be like Qobuz

Qobuz has done a really good job of integrating record labels within their app. The playlists they curate are great. The label landing pages are nice too. But the best part is that the record label is included with the key album data right up top.

Two things about Roon’s handling of labels confuses me:

1. You guys have clearly decided that record labels aren’t a priority, but nearly every streaming service, including the two you partner with, do consider it at least some kind of a priority. Where does that come from?
2. It can’t be all that hard to add labels You guys added folder functionality which had to be a big pain in the butt. This appears to just be a tweak of the UI.

So seriously, what gives Roon folks?

I don’t want it up top. It’s current location in credits is fine by me.

Search by record label outside library

I just discovered that Roon will only search what’s in my library if I search by record label or click on the record label link under Credits. It seems odd given that just about any other link under Credits will give results outside my library (on Qobuz). Any chance of getting this changed?

Curious, why do you not want it up top? Cluttered UI? Just don’t care about record labels? At the moment it is so buried it is practically useless.

I already have to click on the album description to see some of the important to me album information on the right.

If Roon allowed us to define what is shown to the right of the description and the order it was displayed we would all be happy.
