I am planning to go from Fedora 36 ( not supported anymore ) and HQplayer desktop 4.21 to your recommended platform for HQplayer and Raspberry Pi 4 as NAA. Should I choose HQplayer 4 or 5? Should I go for Fedora38 or Ubunto/Studio?
Just do Ubuntu on main machine, with lowlatency kernel. Don’t need Studio.
and NAA OS image on the RPi4 NAA
Definitely time to upgrade to HQPlayer v5 license .
Where do I find this?
I have now installed Ubuntu 22.04. I have decided to go for HQplayer Desktop 5 but I only have the Key for 4 as a photo. How can I process to get the discount?
Email the photo to Jussi and ask for key file?
Email, don’t post it here
I did and I am waiting for it!
Ok it is the weekend, and I read on AS Forum he is travelling through Europe
Some extra patience required
No problem! I found it on a stick! Now I dont remember how to activate. I will start with desktop 4 to see that it works! Can you help me?
I found an old link from you, refreshed it to 4.22.1-110avx2 but the terminal wont take it!
I don’t know what link that is or what system you have, but the correct files are on the HQP page.
Pick which ones you need here:
I have picked Ubuntu 22.04/linux mint avx2 x64
But how do I activate?
Have you tried “Register” ?
What do you mean? I havent used Ubuntu in 3 years! Otherwise I will back to Fedora. Is Fedora 38 ok?
I don’t know about Fedora, I haven’t used it.
Check main website for supported distributions? Jussi mentions there
You mean register to Ubuntu?
No i thought you already installed HQP. To register license.
I’m not sure what step you are stuck at, it is unclear to me
I have downloaded 4.22.1 to Ubuntu but how do I get started?
What happens when you double click it ?
Or right click, open with Software Manager/Installer, then install ?
Check Google how to install .deb files - it is nothing special with HQPlayer.
It’s just a .deb file like any other
