To be sure: are you seeing a cursor where you can type stuff in? Like this?

It say’s lines 8-49 before my cursor now.
ok. this last one is good.
Now run the following command:
irw
And start pressing a few keys (you assigned) on the remote control. Let’s see if something happens.
ok. but this is good! also with the right keys.
stop this command by pressing CTRL-C (control c)
and run the following command:
journalctl -f
and then press the remote control playpause again.
can you run the following command:
/opt/RoPieee/sbin/send-remote-control playpause
Tim, did you saw my previous message?
Yes. Everything seems to be fine. Can you run the following command:
mosquitto_sub -t RoPieee/remote_control/v2/Zones/available | jq -c '.[]'
(sorry for the delay, I was driving home).
Ok @Tim_Wilson , at least we’re getting there. Can you run the following command:
systemctl status ropieee-remote
And btw, you have the extension enabled in Roon?
Actually no… I didn’t know about the extension in Roon. So now the play/ause button works but not the previous/next track buttons. I have to go to work now so I can’t run any more commands.
ok great! The reason your prev next buttons don’t work is because they’re mapped to the wrong buttons.
You need to find ‘PREV’ and ‘NEXT’, instead of ‘NEXTSONG’ and ‘PREVOUSSONG’.
Ah well. I can add them. No worries. I’ll provide an update and then this will work.
Thanks for your testing!
Thanks so much for implementing this feature and putting up with my ignorance!
