Build 1354 early access actually faster than 1353 production?

A lot has been reported that current production version 1353 got slower as some users even expressing their dissatisfaction with roon´s performance. I am running early access 1354 and experienced some cloud search issues as well after it was introduced. In last days I found the time to test some things and came to a surprising conclusion:

My roon 1354 seems to run faster and snappier than ever before! That is even true to features like a classical composer´s composition list which is a litmus test for me.

I wonder why? Are early access accounts running on a different cloud/server infrastructure?

Is Roon on synology much more efficient now?

Hi, even thogh I have a ROCK and everything is working fine, I had some database issues and after having to reclycle my library, decided to give Roon on my Snology a spin. Even though it was obviously slower, it was VERY usable and not having another appliance working /consuming energy, seemed a nice thought. I even checked to see if the Synology was consuming more electrcity and even though the processor was suffering heavily (around 90% all the time), I couldn’t see any sustantial increase. …

The performance issue in production clearly doesn’t affect everyone, either.

I think this is due to fixes happening on the backend rather than the version.

I made the switch. Seems faster for me too. Couldnt do an A/B, of course, but its not unplayable now.

New Roon Server mode is Slow

Yesterday after the intervention I poked around for a bit and ended up finding a possible cause of the server side memory leak, fixed that, and overnight the memory use has been flat so I’m happy to conclude that the work has been upgraded from an intervention to a solution.
