To bring your question to Roonâs attention Iâve split it out to its own topic.
To aid Roon so you can receive appropriate help, it would be really helpful if you could complete the template provided below.
You can copy and paste it in your reply.
Please be sure to include details of your core, network, storage location of your media files, and any messages displayed by Roon.
Including these details in your first post helps resolve your issues faster.
Thank you.
Include your operating system and machine info (Model, CPU, RAM).
Your networking gear (model of routers/switches/etc), connection types (Wifi/Ethernet), and any firewalls, antivirus, or VPN software.
Specify what devices youâre using and their connection types, like USB/HDMI/Chromecast, etc.
Tell us how large your music library is, eg. â30,000 tracksâ.
Tell us about the problem youâre having in as much detail as possible. Screenshots are always appreciated!
Hi Carl
Thank you for responding.
As some of your fellow moderators and community members know, I am a technical neophyte when it comes to all things internet.
Our internet service went down a few days ago and service was restored. All devices are working with exception of Nucleus+.
I have rebooted the Nucleus+ 5 times. I have deleted the Roon Remote app and reinstalled numerous times. I have rebooted the wireless router as well. No success. In the past after a reboot the Nucleus+ returns to life.
The Nucleus+ is connected via an Ethernet cable to a Linksys mesh. Your fellow community members have recommended that I hardwire. Thatâs not a current option but on the drawing board. However thatâs not the issue at hand. I just cannot get the Roon Remote to connect to the Nucleus+.
The Nucleus+ is connected via USB to an Ayre QX5-twenty which in turn is connected to an Ayre KXR-twenty to a Ayre monoblocks to Vandersteen Model Seven MKII.
The message for the past 24 hours has been âLooking for your Roon Serverâ. On two occasions it found the Roon server but went nowhere. Here is the screenshot.
Appreciate the assistance,
Sunder
Hi Carl
Additional data point. I looked at the rear panel of the Nucleus and the green light (Ethernet connection) is blinking. The yellow light is lit. I noticed the Nucleus switch powered down on its own and came back up on more that one occasion.
Try shutting down the Nucleus and unplug the power cord for a minute or two. Then, plug back in and boot up. Sometimes that can fix problems.
Hi Jim
I powered down and unplugged the unit for several hours. In the past your suggestion worked. Not today.
Thank you for responding

Hi Jim
I took up your suggestion. Unfortunately no success.
Kind regards
Sunder
Maybe try âŚ
Power down everything , Modem, Router , Switches , Streamer everything
Now start the Modem - Brew Tea - Wait
Now start the Router - Brew More Tea - Wait
you get the idea,
I live in an area where power and hence internet is cut off almost daily , the problem is when power is restored all your Hi Fi kit powers up quickly before the Network has had time to start up , hence your connection to Roon Mothership is not made yet.
Slowly and allowing each component to restart fully often helps
Just my 2p
You might plug a monitor / keyboard up to the Nucleus and see what messages are on screen and post a pic of that.
Hello Mike
Thank you for your suggestion. Have followed your suggestion. Brewed coffee instead of tea though. Will see if Nucleus+ connects this evening.
Hello Rugby
Unfortunately both a technical neophyte and do not have a spare monitor to connect. Incidentally, how would one connect to a monitor? An HDMI?
Much appreciate you trying to help
HDMI, yes. A TV works as well
Yes, the Nucleus is a standard PC hardware, so plugging into a monitor or tv with an HDMI port will allow you to see what is on screen. This could give some clue as to what is going on.
Alternately, if you go to a computer and in the browser type NUCLEUSPLUS
or nucleusplus.local
and see if it brings up a web page. (please note I may be getting the directions wrong).
Thank you Rugby
Hello Rugby (and also to Graeme)
After 3 days of no Nucleus+ life, I went back to an earlier suggestion and connected the Nucleus+ directly to the router. Immediate success.
Once awoken, the Nucleus+ is back on the mesh. Not an ideal situation but I get Graemeâs point. Threading a direct connection in a house with concrete walls and heated floors is a challenge that is being contemplated.
So yes, a very robust internet connection is an absolute must for Roon Nucleus. I stand educated!!! I think the manuals need to be updated. It will eliminate so much negative chatter
Best
