Description of Issue

When I try to import an album either by drag and drop or a folder I get the whirring circle but the album is not imported instead it says «file copying (for import) » and then starts to copy thousands of files.
I know others have had this problem before but I cannot find how it was resolved.

Hey @Ian_Wilson,

Ben with the support team here, thanks for writing in! I was able to review your account and see that your Nucleus has 37K+ local tracks actively recognized on it. Are you still having issues importing your local library?

If so, have you also tried heading to Roon Settings>Storage>Add folder?

I’ll be on standby for your reply. Thanks! :+1:

Hi Ben,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes I am still having an issue trying to add an album by dragging and dropping into the roon app as I’ve always done it in the past, however on reading the forum I have tried the method recommended by SUEDKIEZ and it appears to work.
I still don’t understand why the previous method no longer works.
Cheers
Ian

Hey @Ian_Wilson,

Thanks for the update, I’m glad to hear you were able to add your albums one way or another.

Where is the original folder holding your local files located? Is this new folder your having issues with located in the same location as your existing local library? If you could provide more information here that would be helpful.
