What happens if you just put your computer to sleep as opposed to turning it off? Maybe that is a solution? Then it would be “active” is the machine and not have to restart when you wake the machine up.

Agreed. There must be something wacky with your setup. I’ve never had any update issues with 6 different devices for years.
I updated my Innuos mini Mk 3 to the latest Roon 710 version without problems.
But for me the SQ is worse than before the update.
The sound (artist) is back in the speakers, before it sound like the artist was right there in the room.
I have spent my life thinking it’s speaker adjustment needed for ‘moving’ the soundstage.

Did you try another source? Or did the Roon update affect all inputs to the speakers?
I’ve only one source, the Innuos mini Mk3.
I stream from a NAS (High FLAC and WAV files) and from Qobuz (Studio - Hi-Res).
From both I had this SQ thing.
