Description of Issue
I encounter a very strange behavior and need your help.
Today I migrated my Roon server from Win10 to a Debian Linux that I installed on an Intel i7 Notebook. Anything worked as expected.
- Could install Roon Server on Linux
- I successfully restored the Backup that the previous Win10 Server created before first login.
- Disabled the old Roon and enabled the new Roon Server
- Set the Paths to the network share and all music was back
I can open Roon on my iPad and my iPhone and anything works as expected.
But if I opened Roon on the Win10 PC in my study I saw this, no able to press the “Connect” button.
What I did next
- I uninstalled Roon on the Win10 PC in my study
- Rebooted the Win10 PC
- Made a fresh install of Roon
- It could connect!
- After changing the theme to dark it restarted
- After the restart I again saw the dialog above
Next I went to my wife’s Win10 PC and opened Roon. It was still v1021 and not used for a long time!
- Roon started, I could connect to the new Linux Roon core
- I was asked to update what I did
- After the restart I saw the same dialog as above and was no more able to connect to the Linux Roon core.
Please remember:
- The Roon Core on Linux works like charm on my iPad and iPhone.
- I can playback any music I like and all works perfectly as expected.
- Only issue: I cannot connect to the Roon Core on linux any more from Win10 PCs
Any ideas?
