It does not offer any “Connected to this PC” options to enable a zone to be created in the Audio category of Settings.
It sees the core and all the music. It sees the other zones and can remotely play them.
The dac is set as the default device, and is shown by Windows 10 to be working properly. All other programs on this PC play through the dac, no problem.
It worked fine yesterday. I have tried removing and re-installing Roon. Have also tried dropping the Norton Firewall.

Moving forward, based on the symptoms being described this does feel like a security protocol could be causing the issue here. Besides the Norton firewall, have you trired disabling any active Windows firewalls as well?

Resolved. McAfee was hiding the actions of Windows Defender in blocking RAAT. When I installed Norton it said that it had removed McAfee, it did, but insufficiently. I manually removed McAfee and saw a message from Windows Defender. Thanks.
