Thank you for your post and for your patience while we worked through the queue to reach your inquiry.
Do you have any additional networking hardware in your setup, like access points or second routers?
What about VPNs or security features on your network?
Usually, a lost connection to a Roon Remote after an upgrade represents a concurrency issue that can be resolved by reinstalling Roon on the affected Remote before restarting RoonServer on your main server machine.
If that doesn’t help, please let us know and we’ll continue from there.
Hi Connor,
Thanks for getting back to me regarding my current issues with Roon. I don’t have additional networking hardware or second routers. I tried to delete the app from my iPhone and iPad and then reloading as you suggested but this didn’t work . Restarted my router also
This is what typically has been going on, it now is never able to locate the Core on the Mac.
If I hit setup Core on this Mac it gives me these results below First saying there are no audio files. Then if I say add music it is saying I already added the folder of the music I brought over from my iTunes library
Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
After taking this step, try reconnecting via Remote again, and adding local storage. If you’re able to do so successfully, then restore from the Backup mentioned above.
We’ll be happy to work with you on an extension of your subscription to troubleshoot since you’ve been without a working setup for some time. Please keep an eye out for a private message from our accounts team.
We’ll be watching for your response. Thank you!
