Okay, well that’s the same as what I have up in the menu bar, but if I quit it, it’s gone. There’s no “restart” option & launching the Roon app, now that they’ve been separated, just launches the app, which then sits there looking for a server.
So basically, if I use that “quit” option, the only way I know to get Roon server to launch is to restart the machine. (Which effectively invokes that “launch at startup” option.)
You can quit the app & relaunch it, but you can’t quit the server & relaunch it. As far as I know.
Except I just saw a post with two shortcut icons, which seems to have gone. But I don’t have that. I don’t have a server icon which would allow me to quit & relaunch the server. Can I get one?
(Yes, I get that I can switch off the “launch at startup” option but I don’t want to do that because as far as I know, that’s currently the only way for me to launch the Roon server.)
On the Mac, go to Finder > Applications and find the Roon launcher. Right-click it and click Show Contents (or similar) in the context menu. It will show the package contents and there is a Roon Server launcher in there.
I suppose it might make sense to make it easier accessible
