Cannot Log Into Roon ARC for Offline Listening (ref#8QUX4M)

Affected Product

Roon ARC

ARC Issue Category

Can’t connect outside the home

Description of Issue

I am traveling internationally. I downloaded Roon ARC and purposefully downloaded several albums off-line onto my phone so that I can listen without needing Wi-Fi. This worked for three weeks, and then I became logged out of my account. I cannot log back in. Please advise on how I can log back into Roon ARC and listen to my music off-line. I realize I will not have access to my entire archive of music.

I know you expected to be using ARC offline but did you set up ARC forwarding before you left?

I believe, sooner or later, ARC needs to connect to the Roon Server.

It certainly does when logging in.

Hi @brian3,

@Wade_Oram is correct; Offline Mode is intended to function during periods when connectivity is unavailable, like long plane rides or even multi-day trips without cellular connectivity. However, without having set up a connection to your RoonServer via port forwarding, ARC will have no way to update or authenticate your Roon library.

We’re happy to assist in setting up port forwarding once you have access to your RoonServer and local network. Please create a new topic thread if this one has auto-closed and we’ll respond promptly.
