Describe the issue

I can't search for an artist, "Can't connect to Roon Search", try again. This comes up every day. i have tried everything, restarting roon, reinstalling roon, restarting computer, changing dns, restarting router. If I search for an artist such as Queen, the roon symbol starts moving with the text "Loading artist" and nothing happens. The song I played last I can continue playing but I can't go to the album or the artist, kag tries to go to the album searches for a while and then I get the message "Unexpected error loading album. Please try again later. (NetworkTimeout). I run network cable and also try wifi, no difference. This has become significantly worse after an update of roon to 2.62(build 1641).
Using Qobus, macOS 12.7.6.

Describe your network setup

ISP is Bahnhof 250/250, DECO X20 router, TP-link TL-SG105E Gigabitswitch, CAT6, CAT8 cables. Has worked perfectly until last update of Roon.

Hi @Robert_Alfredsson,

Welcome to the forum! Looking through the error logging tied to your account, we are seeing constant timeouts when Roon tries to reach our servers. Are you using any hardware firewalls like Pi-hole? If you have multiple networking interfaces active on the Mac, please try disabling all but one and check whether the behavior improves. Please also disable any VPNs in use. Let us know what you find.

Have checked everything with it looks correct, the mac, the router and have checked with the ISP so I am not under CGNAT but everything is ok but nothing works. I have now reset the router to factory settings, reinstalled ROON. Now everything works as it should, was able to search quickly. Loaded a back up from ROON backup and it was still able to search albeit a bit slower. A little strange that the search problem happened even though I didn’t make any changes anywhere, but that’s probably how the world of computers works. I can’t tell you what the problem was exactly but probably something in the router.

Thank you for your time.

Best regard Robert
