Ok this was working perfectly until I changed my router yesterday, I have tried reserving the IP for the nuc and rebooted my nuc, router and even the devices running roon app.
My devices see the core but under it says connecting with a red dot by it (see picture)
I have tried reinstalling roon server and even uninstalling and installing it again.
Ryan, what devices and IP addresses is your Netgear router administration screen showing you? Is your Core in that list and having similar IP addresses as the other devices (e.g., sharing 192.168.xxx.yyy where the “xxx” is the same across all devices)?
From a rebooting standpoint, reboot your devices in this order:
Ok just out of interest I installed Roon on my nas it works fine, so it is something to do with my new router and the intel nuc.
I have tried both wired and wireless on the nuc with no luck and I have enabled both public and private network on both connections and checked the firewall.
Ok I have sorted it, I found a different firewall settings page in windows and it had like 6 different versions of Roon with a couple blocked, I don’t know why they didn’t show up on the other page but now it works.
Thanks so much for your help, your guess was spot on.
Good to hear Ryan. One other quick note from my experience. Your networks on your Windows computers should be set to “Private” if that helps. Enjoy your music!
