When I try to exit the Roon app on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra using the normal back button in the bottom right, nothing happens. Even if I double tap etc. I have to press the home button to exit the app - which is not standard behaviour on Android.
I believe ARC had a similar issue earlier in the summer, but Roon Remote used to work correctly.
The back button does work if you’re in menus or artist screens etc, it’s only on the Roon home screen it won’t work to exit the app.
Running the latest version of everything by the way. Not early access.
How can we help?
Fix it so that pressing the back button exits the app please.

Describe the issue
Can't exit the Room Remote app on Android using the back button
On my phone (android note 8) the back button never has “exited” an app, it just goes to the home screen. The app is still open in the background. To exit apps I have to hit the three bars (bottom left) and swipe up on the app I want to close/shut down (or hit “close all”).
But yes, in Roon the bottom right button (the <) functions as a “back” button and once you go all the way “back” it stops doing anything, which is not helpful.
Sorry yes that is the exact same for me. Perhaps exit isn’t the correct word to use. I would have used the word ‘close’ for swiping up after hitting the 3 bars in the bottom left.
But yes, we are agreed, that hitting the ‘<’ bottom right button on the Roon app doesn’t return you to the Android home screen when it should.
