Canton Smart Connect 5.1 Gen 2 - Chromecast built-in as ROON endpoint

I have Canton active speakers and a Canton Smart Connect 5.1 Gen 2 as a digital hub / PreAmp. The Smart Connect comes with Chromecast built-in.

Can I use my Smart Connect with the Chromecast feature as ROON endpoint? Has someone the same configuration and can give feedback? Runs it stable? What‘s about the sound quality?

I’m using my connect 5.1 that way and it works fine. Chromecast will stream up to 96kHz 24bit so DSD and higher sampling rates wil be downsampled but to my ears I don’t hear much difference. Roon readyness would be nicer but chromecast works better than AirPlay.
