· I am trying to ripp a CD set Andreas Vollenweider Trilogy. First CD gets stuck on track 9 that ends the first album on this disc. Second CD rips but album and track information is missing…
Sorry for the confusion here. The CD ripping feature in Roon OS (used by Nucleus) is designed for standard audio CDs, and we can’t guarantee reliable results for every disc or multi-disc set.
As documented here:
Roon OS supports Audio CDs, but some discs are less reliable, including:
CDs that contain a data section
CD-R / CD-RW discs (especially older ones)
Discs that don’t strictly follow Red Book audio CD standards
Box sets and multi-disc releases often use slightly different disc layouts or metadata, which can lead to:
Ripping stalls (like your CD1 stopping at track 9)
Missing or incorrect album/track metadata (like on CD2)
For these kinds of releases, the recommended workflow is:
Rip the CDs on a computer (using software like dBpoweramp, XLD, or Exact Audio Copy), then copy the resulting music files into your Nucleus storage so Roon can import and identify them normally.
That gives you much better accuracy, error handling, and metadata than the built-in ripper can provide for complex sets.
