Challenges in opening Roon with Mac OS X 10.9

MacBook AirOS X 10.9.5 1.3 ghz intel core i5 4 gm 1600 mhz ddr3

Just getting started with Roon and totally new to the game. Crashes when opening the app.

• Firewall checked for Roon
• Workaround done regarding the correct permissons by typing in the mentioned this command to terminal: sudo chown $(whoami) ~ ~/Library; chmod u+rwx ~/ ~/Library

Gives a long error list including: Crashed Thread: 0 tid_707 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread

Trying to setup Roon Server and intending to bridge to Volumio Primo

Roon core on mac crashes at startup

Hi @Tony_Withers, I met with our development team to discuss this. It looks like there is an incompatibility with some of the new features we are using on Mac OS 10.9. The team is looking into options, but they also noted that we will likely need to be dropping support for this version in the near future to ensure that everything works properly as we have a very small number of Roon users on 10.9. If you’re able to upgrade to at least Mac OS 10.10, that would be our recommendation to get this…

Hi @dylan and thanks for the fast answer. That is unfortunate, but happy to hear that it wasn’t just me

Well I’ll check if I’m able get 10.10 installed and give it another go. Just want to test run it, with my Mac before investing to permanent Roon proof hardware.
