There is a way to install it by sideloading but it doesn’t help because it doesn’t work without touch.

Remote app for fire TV stick

I was able to successfully sideload the Android tablet app to the fire TV stick, but got stuck on the sign in as the app is setup for touch screen. I’m thinking it may not be too much to get this working and would have the additional​ benefit of making an inexpensive device with a remote an option. I know my wife would prefer a remote over using a tablet or a keyboard.

You can mirror a tablet screen to the TV with a cheap second hand Chromecast dongle. This gives you the full UI (to see, not to access)

You can also use a Chromecast or a web browser as a display for the now playing screen.
