Configuration RS130 and RD160 Rose in Roon

Hi, what is the correlation configuration in Room for a.m. setup? It seems that the ED160 is not fully known. In my system the bridge is the RS130 and Audio the Rd160 but with a question mark. After switching off and on the system I have to the configuration again. I could also change Bridge and Audio to the RS130, what would not be correct obviously. Please support. Thank you and best regards, Björn

You had posted in an Uncategorized section that is not monitored.
I have moved to Roon Software but at this stage it is very unclear what your question truly is?

It seems that the RD160 is a DAC and it is not listed as Roon Tested. That’s fine but you just have to configure its capabilities manually from the device specifications.

Thank you for putting it into the right category

Yes, the RD 160 is a DAC. I just wonder if the configurations in Roon is correct.
It says that the bridge is the RS130 and the audio is the RD160 (but classified as unknown). I could change to both being RS130. In any case, the configuration gets lost after every restart of the devices and Roon!

Yes, the RS130 is Roon Ready and hence known to Roon. This is the streamer device that Roon streams to. (I.e, the bridge in this case)

The RD160 as a DAC can only be Roon Tested (not Roon Ready) but it isn’t, so Roon knows only what it tells over USB (if it’s connected by USB), if anything at all. Check that everything (accepted sample rates and bit depth, etc.) is according to the RD160 specification and else reconfigure it in Roon’s device settings yourself.

I don’t think you should.

This is a strange problem and you should open a support case for it. Click here → Support, then click the big Get Help button and fill out the form with the questions. It will create a proper support case with a ticket number in the Support category that official support will look at. (Support does not monitor user discussions here in Roon Software Discussion)

Thank you very much for the information. There is not much to configure, but what I see is o.k. from my point of view. Today it worked without complete new setup, but it took a while that the system started. I will have an eye on that…
