Confused about sampling rate and bit depth Tidal to Roon

On Tidal they say “Sultan of Swing” by Dire Straits is at their HI-RES audio of 192 kHZ/24 bit. When I play it through Roon, Roon says the format is 44.1 kHZ/16-bit, MQA 44.1 kHZ.

In Roon settings I have Tidal set to Max.

What’s going on here?

What does it say in the signal path when you actually play it? After the (as yet still partial) MQA removal, the stored format info may not yet be up to date.

We are aware that some format information displayed in Roon today is out-of-date but our system is processing the updated information and we’re confident that will sort itself out over time. We are also looking into ways to accelerate that process. We don’t want to throw away good data, but unfortunately we don’t always know what data is good and what isn’t before you hit play. The good news is that you can always trust Signal Path to display the correct format once playback has begun.
