Connected CD Ripper to Nucleus not ripping CDs

I have my music library stored on internal nucleus storage which I transferred from NAS storage after installing the internal 1TB SSD. Using Roon on my iPad under Settings/Storage shows FOLDERS (drilling down show my NAS folders) and Nucleus Internal Storage which is watching for new files in real time.

Connecting to the IP address of my Nucleus shows my System Status and CD Ripper OK Waiting for CD. But nothing happens after I insert a CD and further if I disconnect the (portable USB) CD drive from the back of the Nucleus, the System Status still shows CD Ripper OK etc as above.

Can you assist to diagnose why the Nucleus isn’t automatically ripping my CDs?

Thanks

That is an issue that has been with us for awhile. Roon is aware of it and I expect a fix to be available. The question is when.

As a workaround, disconnect the USB drive, power cycle the Nucleus, then after the nucleus is back up reattach the USB drive. It will quit working again after whatever causes the issue to occur again. Rinse and repeat.
