Connected external SSD to NAS now core (NAS) cannot be found

I connected a Samsung SSD to my QNAP NAS to store my ROON database on as directed in ROON setup.

When starting ROON I am now greeted with “remote connection. Waiting for Remote Core”

please help…thank you
